I’m Edwin Fong, the human behind nutfreedoodles from Markham, Ontario, Canada. I’m a physiotherapist by profession and an artist by curiosity. South paw-rent to Mylo, the mini Goldendoodle.

As a kid, I spent countless hours watching and re-watching shows such as Animaniacs, Fresh Prince of Bel-air and Saved by the Bell. Humor filled my childhood with non-stop laughs that I remember fondly. Instinctively, I’m always looking to find humor in everyday life which allows me to build rapport with others naturally.

During Covid-19 lockdowns, there were far fewer people to socialize with so I started drawing as a creative outlet to express myself visually and sharpen my wit. I love the freedom to let my silly brain off-leash through my art. I’m self-taught and learning as I go. Not sure what it will lead to but I’m just having pun with the journey.

Pun Fact: Why the name “nut-free” doodles? With nut allergies so prevalent today I wanted my drawings to be safe for everyone.
